lasting change happens when communities are informed

Partnerships and networks

We firmly believe that meaningful change is achieved through collaboration and collective action. Over the years, we have cultivated strong partnerships with County government, civil society actors and grassroots networks to advance our shared goal of inclusive and accountable governance.

In  partnership with  County government of  Kwale, we  have  actively contributed to  the development and implementation of inclusive planning frameworks that ensure marginalized and vulnerable groups are meaningfully involved in decision making processes. We support public  participation forums,  provide  technical input  during  policy  formulation and  train community representatives to effectively engage with county structures.

We also collaborate with county departments to conduct civic education and human rights awareness campaigns, reaching the under-represented communities with information on their rights, responsibilities and avenues for redress. These initiatives have helped bridge the gap between communities and government, fostering trust and mutual accountability.

We are a member of the Kwale Civil Society Consortium, Kwale Mining Alliance (KMA), Environmental Rights Organizations network (EROG) and Alliance for Land Indigenous Environmental  Defenders  (ALLIED).  We  work  alongside  other  non-profits  and  advocacy groups to strengthen our collective voice. In these platforms, we have been actively involved in capacity strengthening, developing and submitting policy memoranda and position papers  to  both  county  and  national  governments. These  submissions  focus  on  budget transparency, equitable service delivery and protection of human rights, and have influenced key policy reforms and legislative processes.

Our collaborative approach ensures that the voices of the marginalized are amplified in governance spaces and that county planning and service delivery frameworks are more responsive, inclusive and rights based.
